GAB WATER PARK RESORT, A NICE PLACE TO VISIT OR STAY OVERNIGHT

Adult Swimming Pool

Gab Water Park is located at Barangay Malitbogay Javier Leyte. This Park is in such a beautiful setting that would be enjoyed by Filipino’s and foreigners. Gab Water Park has that right atmosphere where you feel you can really relax.

 It has been hard for all during this Pandemic but it was so good to visit such a nice place and relax. Covid guidelines are in place but needed for the ongoing safety of all people. 

The resort has just reopened due to the Pandemic on 18 March 2021 and I found out we were the first overnight guests to visit.

Javier is approximately 74km from Tacloban and 47 km from Bay Bay not too far from Dulag and Lapaz and just up the road from Abuyog.

They have a nice swimming pool with water slides. For young children, they have a very nice shallow pool. The pool is very clean and well maintained.

Accommodation very comfortable

The grounds are kept immaculate and the staff is very friendly.

If you wish to stay overnight cottage accommodation is available. We stayed in the VIP cottage at 4800 pesos a night. The cottage has a main area with a double and queen-size bed and then a separate bedroom with a double bed. Also, a shower toilet and full air conditioning. There are less expensive cottages available.

 Sitting on the front verandah of your cottage having a cold beer to me was magic. The coconut trees are very tall but, in a lawn, set creates a relaxing atmosphere.

The food I found was more towards Filipino and not foreigners but that is understandable but still good to eat.

They also have a nice fish pond where fish can be caught but not on this visit as they have just reopened. Catch a fish can be so much fun especially for young children.

A NEW RESORT FOR THE BUDGET CONCIOUS NOT TOO FAR FROM TACLOBAN CITY (DULAG AREA)

JANA’S RESORT When Filipinos and foreigners visit Tacloban and they have seen most of the sites they may be looking for a day with a difference. Especially now with the warm weather a nice swimming pool is very tempting. Foreigners and Filipinos may desire to stay in this type of resort if you like a quiet area There is a new resort about 38 km from Tacloban City in the Dulag area. The name is JANA’S RESORT. I visited this resort recently with family and friends. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a great day. THE ENTRANCE IS QUITE IMPRESSIVE I live in this area but closer to Tacloban To my best knowledge there is no resort of this type between Tacloban City and Dulag. There are a few pension houses on the way but nothing like this. Madonna of Japan Tacloban Leyte Philippines Introduction Madonna of Japan can be described as a Memorial Park located on Kanhuraw Hill that is not too far from Tacloban City Hall. After World War 2 there was hatred between Filipinos and Japanese but the two nations eventually reconciled. The Japanese Government erected a monument of Maria Kannon in this area.
