CAMP KAWAYAN RESORT IN THE BURAUEN AREA

CAMP KAWAYAN RESORT IN BARANGUY BALORINAY IN THE BURAUEN AREA

   ENTRANCE TO RESORT

There is another resort but it may be too far for some from Tacoban. The aim is to let readers know what is available. If you are visiting family or just site seeing around the Burauen area then you may have the opportunity to spend a few hours here, relax and cool off in the nice swimming pool

The resort name is Camp Kawayan in Barangay Balorinay Burauen Leyte. The resort is very well laid out with a large swimming pool with water slides. In addition they have a shallow children’s swimming pool.
MAIN SWIMMING POOL

The reason I sometimes visit this resort is the Dulag barangay I live in is inland from the sea in land from the sea and there is a short cut via dirt roads to get on to the main highway just before town of Julita. If someone was making a day trip to visit say Hill 120 in the Dulag area then it is approximately another 15 km drive.

As you enter the resort on the right hand side they have a large function center that would accommodate a few hundred people. There was quite a large gathering of people on the day of our visit related to the function center.

FUNCTION CENTER

There are quite a number of cottages around the swimming pool which were only about 50% full on the day of our visit

The cottages are quite large and have power outlets for computers. I presume you could plug in a small fan if you wished

One thing I have found with all the places I have visited and stayed in the Philippines is they keep the swimming pools very clean and this place is just as good.

Food

You can buy food at Camp Kawayan which is good for foreigners and other visitors who are staying at hotels and other accommodation and do not have facilities to prepare meals.
